    Slammy Awards

Friday, December 5, 2008, 02:15 AM EST [General]

Slammy Awards this coming week on Raw, The Slammy Awards should be a 2 hr show with presenters, Musicians, and entertainers.

Here is my thoughts & Slammy winners for some of these awards

Superstar of the year - HHH or Y2J should win this award.  Both Y2J & HHH both went the whole year with no injuries or health problems and held Titles for multiple times.  Batista who went the whole without injuries or health problems did hold 2 different Titles but for a combine 2 weeks.  I think John Cena will win this Slammy though for his latest return.

Match Of The Year - So many good matches this year, this award I would give to either (Shawn vs Flair at WM24)  or (Undertaker vs Edge Hell in A Cell at Summer Slam)

OMG Moment Of the year - This award I would either give to undertaker sends Edge to hell or Floyd Mayweather punching out Big Show.

Diva of the year - This award I would either give it to Beth Phoenix or Michelle McCool.  If I had to pick one I hate to say it would go to Beth Phoenix.

Tag Team Of The year - This award I would give to Miz & John Morrison. Cody Rhodes & Dibaise jr. didn't really dominate two shows like miz & Morrison on Ecw & SD.

Best finishing Maneuver - Slammy goes to Evan Bourne

Couple of the year - Edge & Vickie or Phoenix or Marella, Jamie Knoble & Layla should be on this list for all the off & on relationships they had. Slammy goes to Edge & Vickie.

DAMN Moment Of the year - After watching Santino Marella try to do a split thats should win the award for this category. On the flip side seeing Melina do it she should get the award. haha ;-) , With what happen with Vince McMahon that is my award.

Xtreme Moment of the year - No doubt has to be Jeff Hardy jumping 30 ft onto Randy Orton.  Joey Styles call saying Oh My God.

Announcers of the year - My slammy goes to Jr., Tazz, Michael Cole, & Jerry Lawler all four worked every show and PPV this year. Cole & JR both switched shows but doesnt seem much difference.

Best Music Performance - Well this Slammy I am gonna give for the best enterance music. So with this award I would give to either HHH or Batista's.

Break out star - Slammy goes to Evan Bourne.

Best Impersonation - Slammy goes to Charlie Haas. All the funny skits they were good ones, would like to see more.

    Welcome back slammy's

WOW Power Leveling Faster Than Ever

    Friday, December 5, 2008, 01:10 AM [General]

Maybe many players think that level up their characters online according to the wow power leveling guide is too slow, waste time and money. Now I wanna remind you that wow powerleveling is faster than before. In fact, power levelling is not a term that Blizzard either invented nor one they are likely to be thrilled with. Nor are they endorsing world of warcraft power leveling guides that abound. However unlike gold farming or bot play it's not likely that they will clamp down on it. It's not something they are really that bothered about (they would ban respawning if they did).

And it's not because they don't work they work very well but there is work required. If you think a world of warcraft powerleveling guide will take you from 1-70 just by owning it, forget it. They same can be said for gold guides.

Power leveling techniques do require work. When a wow power leveling guide says it takes 5 days 20 hours play time, it means 145 hours playing the game non- stop which is not something the average WoW player does - is it? I belong to a 100 strong guild and I notice that especially during the week there are seldom more than 3-4 guild members online at anyone time and usually the same ones.

If the above trend is reflected across all guilds and servers then you can probably say that at most there are 10 to 20% of players who play for more than 3 or 4 hours a day and those who play all day long (not a good idea) probably less than 1%.

In any case if you have the time then WOW Power Leveling is easy and enjoyable to do. But there is another problem. All these guides, especially if you are new to the game or intermediate, rely on reading thru the instructions of either Thotbot or Allakhazam to find out where to go do the quest and how. Flipping over the game to find out where to go can be a pain especially on a computer with 1MB or less of memory (such as I do).

However I have since, quite by accident, found a way to make the process a whole lot easier and it's not something that costs much at all, nor do I make any profit for telling you. In fact it costs nothing to try it out and maybe 2 dollars a month or 6 for six months last time I checked. What I am talking about is a new add on I stumbled over called carbonite.

Now we all know about add ons and how they can simplify the game. Well the idea here is that when you get the world of warcraft power leveling quest as instructed, this add on tells you all sort of stuff like:

    1. Where to go

    2. How far

    3. How long it will take you (even calculates this depending on whether you use a mount or not)

    4. Highlights exactly where the mobs or items to kill or gather are located using color codes on a special map

    5. Keeps score of what you've done, tells you when you're done and points you to where the quest giver is to hand over the quest

    6. More stats than you care to know - unless you are a hard core WoW player that is

    7. Where vendors, trainers, mail boxes, auctioneers, you name it are

    8. Plus the guide is constantly upgraded. You are not left in the lurch like some WoW sellers that have been brought to my attention.

There is lots more it can do but would take a while to go over this WoW Power Leveling guide. I really only use it for quests and it's a major, major time saver as you will see.

Or you would like to search more wow power leveling guides to upgrade your character, amors, weapons, get more powerful items, evade the danger and so on. We would strive to make you well informed of the best wow powerleveling tips.

Ok,So much today, but don't leave here,we will be back soon! Wish you have a nice travel with this world of warcraft power leveling strategy.

    WOW Power Leveling 1-70 Cheats

    Friday, December 5, 2008, 12:59 AM [General]

Hurray~~ WOW Power Leveling 1-70 cheats for you,if you are an new player and wanna to level your role fast from level 1 to level 70,it's exactly what you need. Good news,er? Let's go now!

According to the questionnaire,we got that the World of WarCraft is one of the web's most popular and in depth MMORPG 's (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) with over 9 million active gamers currently. Through this, WoW (as it is often called), has seen loads of gamers develop many different wow power leveling strategies and techniques to most efficiently power level up their character and build experience points to upgrade their characters abilities and stat points.

If you are a newbie in the World of Warcraft gaming experience, or any other MMO for that matter, there is a few things you can do right from the get go to maximize your World of Warcraft Power Leveling techniques and improve your overall game enjoyment. If you decide to work with a WOW power leveling guide that is designed to get you quickly from level 1 to 70, do not expect it to magically pull your character to the highest levels without actually putting in some "work" or game time. It takes more than just owning a guide to make it really work for you, the same is true for gold gathering or building guides as well.

No matter what way you look at it, a WOW Power Leveling technique that actually works is going to require input from the players stand point. So when a guide says that the gamer must play for no less than 5 days and 30 hours to achieve a level 70 score, that means you are expected to play a full 155 hours of actual game play, unless of course you are utilizing a world of warcraft power leveling service.

There are different tools that players can use to speed up their levels fast, through a World of Warcraft Power Leveling bot or add-on that provide great functionality for both newbie and experienced gamers alike. These tools are called "add-ons" and many of them are actually free to use, or extremely cheap, and they can enhance game play and the rate of character powering up. The most valuable add-ons are those which can simply the quest tasks that gamers must go through in various ways:

    1. Telling the WoW gamer exactly where to go, even providing coordinates
    2. How far away a quest item or area is
    3. Distance calculated that takes mount/non-mounted character into account
    4. Highlights areas of mobs or items to kill or gather
    5. Maintains track of what you have done already and where you are in the quest, also where the quest giver is to keep you headed back in the right direction
    6. Keeping track of where trainers, vendors, mailboxes, and auctioneers are in each area
    7. Find secret item areas and so much more

The abilities of WoW add-ons are only outdone by the way in which gamers take advantage of their programming. While using a powerful WOW power leveling guide you will most likely be sent to utilize warcraft sources like Thotbot (an elite World of Warcraft player resource) to make the most of each questing experience and add-on that you are using. The best guides will have multiple strategies and actually walk you through leveling up for any character race that you are choosing, be it alliance or horde, and even updates for the expansion sets like the Burning Crusade.

There are hundreds of warcraft add-ons and tons of WOW Power Leveling guides any player can take advantage of, if they simply know where to find the few and highly sought after trusted WoW guides and resources. Remember, if you are still wondering "how to power level in the world of warcraft?" you simply need to play the game and get your hands on a known leveling technique until you are skilled and confident enough to develop your own working wow power leveling and gold gathering techniques.

Make Lots of World of Warcraft Gold

    Friday, December 5, 2008, 12:59 AM [General]

Here is the guide for you how to make lots of World of Warcraft Gold. Read the post below togather now!

Well frankly I don't like it but unfortunately while striding through the wilds of Aseroth - I have a major dilemma - I'm broke. Not completely broke mind you - just not able to afford the best things in life - not unlike my real life - which doesn't feel entirely fair. Mind you wow gold has always been a bit of an enigma to me - everyone else seems to earn it much more easily than me.

Although I don't like it - I have looked at ways of getting a few extra WOW Gold coins. Frankly grinding away earning gold bores me stupid - but in world of warcraft gold is vital to buy the best things in the game. I can't say I was too keen in purchasing gold - although the clandestine meeting where the gold was passed to me in a rolled up sack at midnight behind the stormbank quite appealed. But then again I was bound to find the Blizzard undercover agent who was out to entrap utter noobs like me. I did have a happy half hour remembering all my favourite spy films though - remember Harry Lime - no of course you don't this is about World of Warcraft Gold isn't it.

World of Warcraft Money making Guides

So how do I earn some cash - I turned in fact to some of the money making guides that are for sale - still not overly keen on paying for this sort of information - I did clear it in my mind - if the purchase made my online time that much more pleasurable and saved me months of my usual pathetic money making attempts - buy low - and sell well erm lower - then it was probably worth the small investment.

The growth of Digital information products is probably built on the same decision making process - how much am I willing to pay for the information I need -in my case about wow gold. This did make it easier and after all the guys who wrote these things had spent many, many hours researching, trialling and perfecting these methods and then preapring all the reports and documentation - so if I got decent documentation it seemed a good purchase.

Now I'm not sure exactly what sort of person creates a huge guide to WOW Gold making but two thoughts do cross my mind.

    1) Thanks for figuring all this out for me.
    2) I suspect they spend way too much time playing this game!

World of Warcraft is a fantastic game but there are some extremely boring bits and these inevitably seem to revolve around money making. I tried quite a few of these guides and I am afraid they are a very mixed bag. There are a few that are not however and one of these is by Wayne Williams - one of the Rockafellers of WOW gold.

You get quite a lot of stuff for your money - a huge guide to making money in WoW, lots of step by step guides complete with lots of screen captures to help explain the concepts. there are specific instructions on how to perform these and I don't think many players would have the knowledge of many of these World of Warcraft Gold Making schemes. Some really surprising methods that I am quite sure would have continued to elude me without this guide.

There is also a mining map guide which shows you the very exact spots for the most profitable mining - needless to say I'd managed to avoid all of these as well ! The other major bonus is the Auction House guide -which is extremely good - many reports write very vague tips around World of Warcraft Money making in the auction houses but Wayne actually delivers videos of his techniques so you can see the exact process he is following. All the methods are thus explained very well and clearly.

There's also a really well written Basics guide for anyone new to World of Warcraft.

The guides are all well written and delivered - particularly the videos, there are so many new and innovative ways to make world of warcraft gold very quickly - that there's bound to be one to suit your style of play. I believe the product is definetely worth the money purely as it will save many, many hours earning gold which can be better used in the game.

If you want to learn the secrets of WOW Gold making - you'd definitely be advised to buy this guide.

    Turbine marches continued yearly expansions

    Friday, December 5, 2008, 12:58 AM [General]

Executive producer for Lord of the Rings Online Jeffrey Steefel doesn't seem to have any interest in mimicking his companies competitors. He recently told gamesindustry.biz, "We have been driving our content strategy based on our game and our audience," adding, "What other folks do is driven by their needs." You really do have to appreciate a company that knows where its livelihood lies.

So players can expect the same amount of book updates and further yearly expansions, which sounds like it can only be a good thing for a game that at launch was often tagged with the, "Not enough to do at end-game" complaint. It doesn't seem like that's ever going to become a problem again, however.
For those who are inexperienced with purchasing the lotro gold, LOTRO Accounts and Lotro Powerleveling from LOTRO Gold sellers, there are many Lotro Gold sellers that are frauds and scams that cannot be removed from the internet. What Is Time?

Friday, December 5, 2008, 06:53 AM GMT [science]

With the election out of the way I hope to return to writing about scientific subjects again.  I devoted the first part of November to writing  a lengthy essay for  a change.

The Foundational Questions Institute (FQXi) has a mission  " To catalyze, support, and disseminate research on questions at the foundations of physics and cosmology, particularly new frontiers and innovative ideas integral to a deep understanding of reality but unlikely to be supported by conventional funding sources."

FQXi has conducted  an essay contest dealing with the nature of time.  They have posted a list of the essays.

My essay asks the question whether time is an arrow or a boomerang.  There may be a problem with downloading the essay.  I can read the original .pdf file on my computer, but for some reason cannot download it from the site.

Time is extremely important for human society, but is what humans call "time" an aspect of physics other than a means of measuring the rate that physical processes occur. We measure time as cycles and perhaps that is all time is -- a series of interacting cycles. The universe may have had a beginning, but probably not in either the way supported by religious leaders or in exactly the manner described by most physicists. If the universe came from a black hole, it is more likely that the material left as jets of "lumpy" material instead of as separate subatomic particles. The gradual "loss" of energy into a state in which some energy no longer interacts with the universe is the only real indicator of an "arrow of time". A steady state universe would require that black holes, or some other physical phenomena, recycle this energy perhaps by absorbing low energy radiation and matter and then emitting both as jets capable of producing new stars. If time is a physical dimension, matter would probably not be able to travel backwards through time, but perhaps information could, especially if the human mind exists in a dimension above time. I don't claim to have the answers to these questions only speculation about what the answers might involve.

I may elaborate on these ideas in future posts.  I may also post the abstracts of some of the other essays.

    Hugging Dad

Friday, December 5, 2008, 12:52 AM CST [General]

Twenty years ago today, I lost my dad.  I still miss him. He was gone far too soon. A smoker from the age of ten, cancer took him at fifty-seven. My dad had always been there, and now he was gone.

I have many wonderful memories of my dad. I remember us standing in the backyard with a bucket and a coin. He would "throw" the coin over the house, and we would run around to the front yard where he would "catch" the coin in the bucket. It always amazed me. When I got older, I figured out he either had never actually thrown the coin, or he had used two coins. But at the age of five or six, this amazing feat got filed in the "Dad can do anything" folder in my mind.

I can still hear his whistle greeting us every time he came in the front door from work. I can see him sitting in the living room, laughing at all the corny jokes on "Hee Haw." And I'll never forget the sick and wounded birds he found along the way and brought home to nurse back to health.

Some of my favorite memories of my dad are the stories he would tell about his life. To this day, I talk with pride about how he dropped out of school in the eighth grade to run away from home and join the Army. He managed to get into the Army by lying about his age. But while I have always been proud of this story, I wasn't always proud of his eighth grade education. As I grew older and became more educated myself, I often responded to his "uneducated" points of view with a belittling tone of disgust in my voice. He must have felt like an idiot. I ache and cringe to this day over it. I cannot let it go. But it was all part of how I drew somewhat away from him in my later teens and lost some precious time that I wish I could get back.

One of my early memories about my dad is that he loved country music. When I was very young, we had a record player and a handful of country music albums. I remember loving Patsy Cline's "Walking after Midnight" and Hank Snow's "Lazy Bones." As a child, I enjoyed those albums, but as I grew, I started listening to the rock music that my peers liked. Dad's music was left behind as I moved from The Monkees to Three Dog Night to The Rolling Stones. Music, like so many other things, was something we no longer shared.

When I was in my early twenties, on a lark, I bought a collection of Hank Williams' greatest hits. Hank was one of my dad's favorites, and while I had heard his songs sung by other people, I had never actually heard the man himself. From the moment the needle hit the record, I was mesmerized. I fell in love with Hank's voice and songs and started listening to them all the time. I learned to play them on the guitar and eventually got to where I could sound just like Hank when singing his songs. Dad liked this.

I eventually drifted away from listening to Hank Williams, though I never stopped liking his music. Along the way, my dad died. And then, eighteen years later, at Christmastime, I put Hank Williams on my Christmas list and received two greatest hits CDs as gifts. Something about the songs seemed different this time around. Hank didn't sound any different than he had before, but I now felt so emotionally attached to this music. I would play the CDs over and over and could not get enough of them. Then, one day, it dawned on me: when I listen to Hank Williams, I feel like I'm hugging my dad. I don't know if anybody else can possibly understand that concept, but it's powerful to me. I know it's not a real hug. I'm not talking about some metaphysical experience. But emotionally, the music of Hank Williams makes me feel like I'm hugging my dad.

I will see my dad again. I praise God that Dad got saved eight months before he died, and I look forward to our reunion. But in the meantime, I'll continue to put on "I Can't Help It If I'm Still in Love with You" and give him a big old hug. It feels good.

    The Saxe-Coburg Diaries 1996 - Part 3

Friday, December 5, 2008, 06:50 AM GMT [General]

Affectionately dedicated to Amicus, the Saxe-Coburgs most loyal lickspittle subject, in the hope that this morning's hangover is not too dire.

February - As Parts of Scotland disappeared under the worst blizzards for decades and Fenian fanatics reverted to type in Docklands, the royal household came under attack from a new and unexpected source: the urban fox. Angered by constant assaults on its country cousins by Charles and his chums, a vengeful member of this growing canine underclass launched a surprise counter-offensive by stealing into the grounds of Buckingham Palace and tearing the Queen's entire flock of pink flamingos to shreds.

    "Another flamingo? I simply couldn't Ma'am."

Understandably piqued at having her usually idyllic, ornamental pool made to resemble a Peckinpah film set, Her Majesty ordered the rebellious Reynard responsible hunted down and destroyed. Sadly, an expectant populace was denied the spectacle of mounted royalty hallooing its way along The Mall behind a pack of baying corgis when the culprit's despatch was entrusted to the more mundane devices of the palace garden staff.

As if attacks by the indigenous wildlife were not worrying enough, there were also republican rumblings from Her Majesty's "Loyal" Opposition. Although New Labour's proposed constitutional changes did not directly impinge on the role of the monarchy, Tony Blair's assertion that accidents of birth should not entitle hereditary peers to a say in government very obviously had more far reaching implications.

Phil the Greek took centre stage briefly following a revelation in The Sun newspaper that it had been offered a tape recording of a telephone conversation between him and a mystery "well spoken, upper-class woman". It later emerged that his interlocutor had been Lady Romsey, a long standing family friend, who shares his interest in coach driving. Ultimately, the so-called "Duke-gate" tape served only to reinforce the Duke's reputation as one of the country's foremost bores. As even The Sun, with its notoriously liberal interpretation of what constitutes "news", was unable to find anything in the whole seventeen minute recording worthy of publication.

Slightly more interesting was the fact that the amateur recordist responsible for the tape, hospital worker Neville Hawkins, was suspended from his job as a result of his involvement. Seemingly suggesting that among the overpaid bureaucrats who run what is left of the National Health Service there are some more interested in future honours lists than in current staffing levels.

A happier note was struck by the remarriage of Brigadier Andrew Parker Bowles, the ex-husband of Prince Charles's mistress, Camilla Parker Bowles. If ever a man was entitled to a little wedded bliss it is surely this noble officer who, in the best traditions of the service, uncomplainingly laid down his wife for his future king and country. It is to be hoped that following his stoically borne humiliation, the good Brigadier found some consolation in the knowledge that while his then wife was betraying him with the Army's next Commander-in-Chief, the Prince was himself being cuckolded by a mere acting Major.

Another divorcee in the news was Jane Dunn-Butler, whose name was romantically linked with that of millionaire shipping broker Dimitri Horne. Fore readers unfamiliar with the endless list of royal hangers-on, Ms Dunn-Butler had for some years been employed as "dresser" to the Duchess of York. As such she had collaborated with some of the world's most expensive couturiers in ensuring that her royal mistress seldom resembled anything more elegant than a bag of washing in a wig. It was to be hoped that her future love life would prove more successfully than her past professional one.

The royal touring season got underway with official trips by both Prince Charles and his sister. The Princess Royal led the way with a tour of  The Falklands - one of the few venues where visiting royalty can expect to shake hands with the entire population. Shortly thereafter, Charles found himself among the genocidal bandits of the former Yugoslavia, where it is advisable to count one's fingers after shaking hands with anybody. Before the month was out the Prince also visited Morocco, part of an increasingly fundamentalist Islamic region where only the most law abiding citizens still have hands to shake...

Egypt has a lot to offer for tourists from its natural beauty to its man-made structures. In having a tour in Egypt however, one should consider many things when it comes to manners or etiquettes. Many Egyptians are Muslims and they religiously abide in rules and standards of conduct.

The very first thing you will need to know is the dress code in Egypt. Except for the pool areas and beaches, you cannot go out, for girls, exposing your knees and thighs to the public.

Since Egyptians are generally conservative, do not engage in public display of affection such as kissing and embracing. Do not come too close with the members of the opposite sex but don't inch away when they happened to stand close to you.

In Egypt, they don't use their left hands in eating, shaking hands or handing things.

The palm facing the person means warding away evil spirits; therefore it can be very offensive to them.

When invited to their home, bring some sweets for a present. Don't bring wine unless you are sure that somebody in the family drinks. Muslims don't often drink wine or any alcoholic drinks. Remove your shoes before entering a house and don't sit in the chair cross-legged.

Never give your hosts flowers. These gifts are only for weddings, funerals and for sick people. Small gadgets like compasses are really good gifts since Muslims will need them in indicating the direction to Mecca when doing their prayers.

Do not refuse the drinks offered to you although you have no intention in drinking them, that will be very impolite. Also ask for second helpings when eating to compliment the host for the food.
